Shen Ye

Shen Ye is a seasoned manager in venture capital, venture program management and public policy, with a proven track record of driving success in emerging high-growth sectors including sustainability, AI, healthtech, advanced manufacturing, IoT, and fintech. As Director at TRIREC, Shen Ye contributes to shaping the investment strategy and execution across two decarbonization focus areas: agrifood and industrials.

Shen Ye has held key leadership roles across institutions. She was previously a Deputy Director at Enterprise Singapore where she was responsible for internationalization and innovation partnership development in North America and Europe. Under her guidance, the team experienced solid growth in cross-border enterprise engagement and successful commercial outcomes.

As the former SEEDS Capital team lead for sustainability & agrifood and Senior Investment Manager for various domains, she executed over 30 deals, established new portfolios and co-investment partnerships in sustainability, maritime, agrifood and advanced manufacturing tech. During Covid-19, she led the creation of a US$200mn special situation fund for deep tech startups. Over the years, her hands-on approach to value creation and meticulous portfolio management contributed towards four profitable exits, solidifying her reputation as a steadfast manager of both personnel and funds in the deep tech arena.


Lawrence Wu

Lawrence Wu has more than two decades of experience in corporate finance and investments, specializing in M&A and restructurings, reverse takeovers, schemes of arrangements and delisting of public companies, as well as capital fundraising. Prior to founding EDP Renewables APAC (formerly Sunseap Group), Lawrence held appointments at DBS Bank (Vice President), Macquarie (Vice President) and BNP Paribas (Director).

Having spearheaded the group's efforts in capital raising, Lawrence played a vital role in raising the requisite funding for the group, and putting in place the capital structure required for its Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) projects. These efforts helped set the foundation for the group's subsequent projects. Carrying with him more than 7 years of venture capital investing in the sustainability space, he is also a Partner and Director of TRIREC, a renewable energy venture capital firm that focuses on decarbonization investments.

Lawrence was named an honouree of the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 2017, an achievement he shares with his Co-Founder, Frank. He graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with First Class Honours in Accountancy in 2000, and he is both a Certified Public Accountant (Singapore), an ISCA Infrastructure and Project Finance Professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst. 


Mike Lim

Mike Lim is a partner at TRIREC and a seasoned manager with more than 20 years of experience in business operations and entrepreneurship.

Skilled in strategic business planning and execution, with a particular focus on strategic advisory, fundraising, M&A and corporate finance, Mike has held various senior management roles in investment banking and corporations in Asia including Director at Thirdrock and Soteiria Capital. He is also a former debt capital markets manager at Norinchukin Bank, the founder of several IoT and foodtech start-ups and the former CEO of an early education business which he successfully exited to an Asian PE.

In parallel to his role at TRIREC, Mike is currently a mentor of Innovate 360, a Singapore-based Agrifood Tech incubator. He is also recently appointed as the Climate Tech advisor at Singapore Deep Tech Alliance, a Singapore-based Deep-tech Incubator. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) with Second Upper Honors from the National University of Singapore.
